Welcome to the Montessori.Matters Blog!
Hi, everyone! My name is Heather White. I'm the founder of Montessori.Matters, a space to celebrate the value of Montessori and to help those engaged in this important, life-changing work. I am a passionate Montessorian with a variety of personal and professional experience to help guide educators, parents, and caregivers on their Montessori journey.
For the last 15 years, I've worked as a Montessori guide, administrator, in-home teacher/caregiver, consultant, content creator, and teacher trainer. I hold a Masters Degree in Education with a Concentration in Montessori Studies and an Educational Specialist Degree in School Psychology. I hold certifications from the American Montessori Society at the Early Childhood (3-6 years old) and Elementary I (6-9 years old/1st-3rd grade) levels. I am also a Nationally Certified School Psychologist.
Through the Montessori.Matters blog, I hope to put my years of experience and educational knowledge to use by inspiring every reader to continue making positive impacts in the lives of children through the work of Montessori. From tips for classroom educators, to holiday book recommendations, to foundational Montessori principles and practices, the Montessori.Matters blog is sure to be a valuable resource for Montessori educators, administrators, parents, and caregivers!
